Time Heals All Wounds... Sometimes.

People come from different walks of life and there is always a story behind that facade. Less than an hour ago, I surreptitiously found out that one of my friends' dad had a stroke and due to some unfortunate actions on the family's part, the effects have continued and now his father's body has deteriorated considerably. Ironically enough, we had talked about losing family members and friends today as my graduate advisor has made the decision to not return to USC in the fall and he had watched a play about teens who have lost family members or close friends. Finding out similar 'secrets' about people's lives completely changes my interpretation of their lives. Sure, time heals all wounds, but at what point is a wound too deep to heal?
